In 2012 I began seriously getting into digital photography and would take 20 to 30 photos to get the shot I wanted . Nothing like when I first started with a film camera and every photo was a different shot. Is because I have become lazy or a perfectionist the reality is I don’t delete photos and have thousands of photos on sd cards and hardrives which are organised in dates which had become forgotten.
In 2018 when I was going through the photos and saw the slight movement between the photos ( I actually thought I’d discover motion pictures. Lol) I decided to join them altogether to make little slideshows.Whether it was nostalgia of looking at my children when they were younger and reliving the times I bribed them to be in my crazy photos it gave me the motivation to organise and make more videos and Motion Marinade the project began. I have since become obsessed with creating these videos that are a cross between a stop motion Slideshow Or a pixilation which I have most recently been informed of while doing an animation course. From stop motion to time lapse I have attempted them anything that is essentially a photograph with motion I explore now I have realised I can attach them on here I’ll be sharing more.
This was the first moving image I created from photos I took of my daughters In 2014 A Fairy Tale. I have so many more videos old and new that I’ve created and I’m also currently making a short film that I’ll be releasing later this year.
Im currently doing a portfolio course and one of the assignments is to set the tone for a portfolio.
I took these photos recently in hopes to have a unified series of photos of Beachboxes.
I had spotted these Beachboxes over the months and had been waiting for an overcast flat Sky to unify them togeather. Although the last 2photos have a more colourful colour pallette I think the green grass ties them altogether.
I was considering using this for inspired as I love land art and am inspired by so many artist particularly Ana Mendieta .
I specifically asked the gardener to not mow this section of clover as I wanted to so some creating . It didn’t turned out how i had envisioned so did some more macro.
Day 11 of my 30 day photography Challenge.
Hi everyone it’s been such a long time since I’ve been on WordPress. Life’s busy you know how it is.
I’ve decided to update my site beginning with a domain which has been funded by selling one of my of my Fine Art Prints -Boat in Fog at Red Hills Art Show. It’s from a series of prints of Fog.
This one was taken on a foggy afternoon in 2014. I love the minimal effect the fog creates on the landscape isolating the boat and also the tiny little figure of a sup boarder in the distance.
If your interested on purchasing a print please get in contact so we can discuss your requirements.
The layout of the site will stay the same and I’ll primarily use the site as my portfolio. I also like participating with photography challenges and hope to do a photo a day for the month of June.
If you know of any photography challenges on here worth getting involved in please let me know and also any feedback on improvments I could make to my site would be good. I’d like to add an instagram icon link anybody know how to do that?
All the best
This Weeks photo of the Week from my 366 Project is another Landscape shot at Low Tide on Thursday night at the beautiful Bridgewater Bay on the Mornington Peninsula.
I’ve only been taking photos of Landscapes in the last year as I’ve been inspired by other photographers photos of my local area which is a Landscape Photographers Dream. That and also because my kids are getting older and don’t want to be in my photos anymore and bribing them is becoming too expensive.
This Weeks Photo of the Week from my 366 Project is A Landscape at St Paul’s Beach, Sorrento, that I took on Tuesday. I’ve attempted this shot a few times though have always got deep shadows of the rocks and no detail. This time i did a bit of study of my camera manual and either by fluke or technique I got what I was after.
