Couldn’t resist sharing some silhouettes for this weekend Lens Artist Challenge.

Im currently doing a portfolio course and one of the assignments is to set the tone for a portfolio.
I took these photos recently in hopes to have a unified series of photos of Beachboxes.
I had spotted these Beachboxes over the months and had been waiting for an overcast flat Sky to unify them togeather. Although the last 2photos have a more colourful colour pallette I think the green grass ties them altogether.
Enjoy

This Week on Instagram’s @community_whp account, the theme was “inspired”. As i am centering my submissions around puddles. While researching I came across a photo by Kyle Thompson which inspired this photo.
These are the photos i took to make the image. As usual I was limited with light and although it was low tide the tide was further up than usual and i had to search for suitable rock pools. none were the right depth or size so i decided that i would composite them in.
I initially had the idea of using the reflection though thought it may not have communicated the way I intended. So I put back in the boat.
I havedone alot of compositing before though only used an app on my ipad, for this photo I used photoshop. Its not perfect though i am pleased with what i am learnt and will use it in future to composite images.
Have a Great Day.

Day 15 of 30 day photography Challenge.
Yesterdays post inspired me to make a series of photos per day.
Often I take many photos only to pick my best one then discard the rest. Today i challenged myself to take at least 10 different photos of Cameron’s Bight Jetty it forced me to seek new perspectives. Sure they’re not all great photos and i had a limited amount of time to take them though I enjoyed the totally new perspectives I saw .
So for the next 10 days I will be sharing 10 photos a day. I find it a little daunting as time is limiting and subjects maybe boring though i find it a good way for me to broaden my photography and seek new perspectives.
Goodnight
Zoe

Day 13 of 30 Day Photography Challenge.
Today I went up to Arthurs Seat looking for Mushrooms to photograph with my new macro extension Tubes attached to the lensbaby. There wasn’t a great deal though i did find a little patch of these mushys.
They were tiny. i’ll share more for Macro Monday.
All the best

Day 12 of 30 day Photography Challenge
Today I received macro extension tubes in the mail. I was so excited to try them out. I attached my lensbaby lens to them and experimented and was truly amazed at the results. I’ve never been one for closeup photography though this has really opened a whole new world. The detail in objects is truly amazing and i think a post solely devoted to this new equipment and photos is needed.
When i got home it was raining so a wander in the garden in between rain showers. I could probably count on my hands the amount of time i’ve photographed flowers. I find them beautiful they just don’t challenge me creatively, unless you try and capture them through a rain drop which I attempted though failed. This flower however fascinated me not sure what it is. Lots of bokeh and a tiny bit of focus to satisfy my creativity.
This Weeks photo of the Week from my 366 Project is another Landscape shot at Low Tide on Thursday night at the beautiful Bridgewater Bay on the Mornington Peninsula.
I’ve only been taking photos of Landscapes in the last year as I’ve been inspired by other photographers photos of my local area which is a Landscape Photographers Dream. That and also because my kids are getting older and don’t want to be in my photos anymore and bribing them is becoming too expensive.
