Sunday Stills Challenge #daylight Black and white.

I’m participating in Terri’s Sunday Still Challenge. This week is Daylight- Black and White.

Here in Australia it is Autumn. The days are getting shorter although the weather is still quite warm and people are still out enjoying the beach.

I actually took these photos this week for a 52 Week Project I am doing . This week the theme was “activity” after being unsuccessful capturing anything all week I returned to the beach yesterday and captured a few people engaged in different activities during the last few hours of daylight.

Rain Drops -A Moving Image

While in lockdown my backyard has become a Sanctuary a place to retreat and observe and immerse in the wonderful details of nature I have taken a lot of photos and Moving  Image  videos throughout the pandemic.

This particular morning I looked out my kitchen window It had just rained the sky was clearing and the sun was rising and the tree was covered in raindrops which were glistening. I couldn’t quite capture what I saw though it was truly magical  . I proceeded to explore some more and was particularly attracted to the drops on a leaf the suns rays made it glow a brilliant white. Below is a video of the magic raindrop and some photos.

enjoy

Day 15: Cameron’s Bight Jetty

Day 15 of 30 day photography Challenge.

Yesterdays post inspired me to make a series of photos per day.

Often I take many photos only to pick my best one then discard the rest. Today i challenged myself to take at least 10 different photos of Cameron’s Bight Jetty it forced me to seek new perspectives. Sure they’re not all great photos and i had a limited amount of time to take them though I enjoyed the totally new perspectives I saw .

So for the next 10 days I will be sharing 10 photos a day. I find it a little daunting as time is limiting and subjects maybe boring though i find it a good way for me to broaden my photography and seek new perspectives.

Goodnight

Bridgewater Bay

imageThis Weeks photo of the Week from my 366 Project is another Landscape shot at Low Tide on Thursday night at the beautiful Bridgewater Bay on the Mornington Peninsula.

I’ve only been taking photos of Landscapes in the last year as I’ve been inspired by other photographers photos of my local area which is a Landscape Photographers Dream. That and also because my kids are getting older and don’t want to be in my photos anymore and bribing them is becoming too expensive.

Photo of the Week

imageLast weeks most popular photo from my 366 Project on my Instagram account is this Seascape at St Andrews Beach on the Mornington Peninsula. I have taken a few photos at this Beach for my project and although this Beach doesn’t offer a lot in great rock features that a lot of the other local Ocean Beaches do, it’s easy access is great for last minute Sunset Pics like this.

There’s a Chair over There

imageMy most popular photo this week on my Instagram profile is this photo I took of a Chair at Sunset at the beach at Low tide. This Chair has featured in a few photos and I have decided to make a new series of photographs “There’s a Chair over there” featuring this chair in different Landscapes.

I have still continued with my 366 project though if you have noticed I haven’t been very active on WordPress. That will hopefully change as I will be beginning/continuing another 366 project next year and also sharing  A photography assignment I am working on.

Landscape Challenge

Instead of doing my regular Photo of the week this week I’m participating in CCY Photo  #21 Landscape Challenge.  Most of the photos are composed using the rule of thirds I challenged myself by including an element in the foreground something I don’t usually do. The photo below was the most popular photo this week , which ones your favourite I’d love to know. ?imageimageimageimageimageimage

Photo of the Week. Fire Fishing

imageThis weeks Photo of the week from my 366 Project “Fire Fishing” is another silhouette; you may have figured out by now that I not only love sunsets but I also love silhouettes. The contrast in colours from the yellows to the black really appeal to me I also like the mystery of a faceless lone Figure.

This particular Sunset was spectacular and I wish I could have got a better composition with more of the sky though the pier is quite narrow and I really wanted to include the fisherman in the foreground to make it more interesting.
